High Cube Containers

A high cube is a standard steel container with one difference: it is 9ft 6in (2,896 mm) tall instead of 8ft 6in. Inside, that gives about 2,698 mm of height against 2,393 mm in a standard box, and a 40ft high cube holds roughly 76 m³ instead of 68 m³.

When the extra height is worth it

• Conversions - offices, workshops, living space - where insulation and a raised floor eat into headroom
• Racking and pallets stacked high
• Tall machinery and equipment
• Anywhere people will stand and work inside

For plain storage of boxes and smaller items, a standard-height container usually does the job for less. The trade-offs are covered in high cube containers explained.

Check the route in
