Legal

Cookie Policy

What follows is a complete account of what this website stores in your browser, and what only happens if you agree to it.

This document is a structured template. It must be completed with the operator's verified details and reviewed by a qualified legal adviser before publication. Nothing on this page is legal advice.

What is set without asking you

One item: an optional language preference, used to remember which language version of the site you use so that the root address can send you to the right one. It contains no identifier and is not shared.

A second item records the choice you make about analytics, so that you are not asked again on every page. It holds one word — whether you accepted or declined — and nothing else.

No advertising cookies, no profiling cookies and no third-party scripts are loaded on this basis.

Analytics, only if you accept

This site can use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and how people arrive. It is switched off until you accept it. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no request is made to Google at all — not the measurement library, not a cookieless ping, nothing. The site behaves identically either way.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes data including your IP address, the pages you view, approximate location derived from the IP, and technical details of your device and browser. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, and data may be transferred to and processed by Google LLC in the United States. IP anonymisation is enabled.

The legal basis is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time, with effect for the future, using the button below.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

Use the control below to change your decision. Withdrawing consent stops any further analytics loading immediately; cookies already set by Google can be removed in your browser settings, and Google documents its own retention periods.

What the hosting provider records

Web servers record requests in access logs, which typically include IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent. This is standard server operation rather than a cookie, and is covered in the privacy policy.

If anything further is added later

Any additional analytics or marketing script must be consent-gated in the same way, disclosed here and in the privacy policy, and must not run before consent is given. Nothing is added silently.

Managing storage in your browser

You can clear or block site storage in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not stop the site working; you may simply be sent to the English version by default.

Your analytics choice

Applies to this browser on this device. Withdrawing takes effect immediately for anything not already loaded; cookies Google has already set can be cleared in your browser.
