Container Delivery

A delivered price is the container plus the leg that gets it to you. This is how that leg is built, and what your site has to be able to take.

For most buyers the transport is not a rounding error on the invoice — on some routes it is the larger half. That is why nothing here is quoted ex works by default and why the enquiry form asks about site access before it asks about anything else.

How the container comes off the vehicle

  • Tilt-bed

    The bed tilts and the container slides off. Cheapest, and needs the most straight-line space — roughly 25 m for a 20ft and 30 m for a 40ft.

  • Crane truck (HIAB)

    Lifted off from alongside. Solves sites with no run-off, but needs firm ground for the outriggers and clear airspace above.

  • Side loader

    Self-loading trailer that lifts from its own deck. Less run-off than a tilt-bed, more width alongside.

  • Depot collection

    You send a vehicle. Cheapest overall and fastest, if you have suitable transport and can secure the load.

Where we deliver

Port and terminal delivery

Delivery into a terminal requires an existing booking — terminals accept containers against a booking reference, not on spec.
